THOUGHTS ON DECK SWITCHING AT THE CARD TABLE
+ The DECK SWITCH MASTERCLASS

This module quickly and unexpectedly became a very challenging module to make. After recently publishing The DECK SWITCH MASTERCLASS, which includes 44 deck switching techniques, I began to narrow down the techniques that could be used in the real world to benefit you at the card table, but those methods were narrowed down to zero.

This was difficult to admit and even harder to teach. I have always been strict in my teachings throughout the Expert course, in that I would never teach anything that I have not done or would not do, and had I given this project enough time, Deck Switching wouldn't have taken such an important space in the course. I am aware of the insecurity of this, as the thoughts, theory and and the process of my narrowing down to zero all of the known methods has value, and I know that heavy and challenging sleight-of-hand has become expected in this course, so even through the difficult teachings of why you should not nor ever need to switch a deck to cheat at cards, I still offered methods that 'would' work.

Deck Switching, is such a beautiful art and the Deck Switch Masterclass might just be my favourite project - the 44 deck switches are all practical and fairly easy to master... for performance, and NOT for use at a real card game. My thoughts on this also took me deeper into the Madness in search of the dying meaning, as one has to ask what is the point of such beautiful moves that appear to be card cheating techniques if they can not be taken to t a card game?

Despite this hour+ of a mental spiral I stand by my word that deck switching is an art, and a beautiful art for performance. I have always been very proud of my 'Mad Deck Switch Holdout' device ( made from a torn up card box and duct tape - as taught in both projects ) and I am Mad happy to announce the production of the official MAD DECK SWITCH HOLDOUT DEVICE by myself and EOIN O'HARE. These will be available very soon with something else that is very special ( which I teased a few times in Module Ten. ) Although not so many deck switches made it into Module Ten, I can't wait to show you what can be done with this incredible new device, so stay close!

Although Module Ten may be difficult to watch, despite almost not even releasing it, I know that it holds a harsh and brutal truth that maybe any other teacher would hold back on, and in taking accountability for anybody who learns from me who may have one day taken one of my deck switches to a card game, I stand by my word and the instruction to never take a deck switch to a card game.
