The ADVOCATE Pocket Index is a full-deck, single-pocket Playing card Index which hides in your pocket an acts as an assistant - as your very own Advocate - the index allows you to be secretly within possession of ANY freely named plying card within moments, which is removed from the index hidden directly into a palm.

As an example - and Madison’s go-to opening deception: The deck is handed to the participant leaving the performer empty handed.  The participant is invited to shuffle the deck, as they do so they are also invited to name out loud ANY playing card.  For this example, they name the 9 of Clubs.  As soon as they have finished shuffling, the deck is spread face down across the surface, or between the hands of the participant where they discover a single playing card of a different back design amongst the other cards.  They are invited to turn this card which of course is revealed to be the very freely named 9 of CLUBS.

This is just one of an endless list of deceptions that the ADVOCATE will help you achieve - you can now make ANY freely named card appear wherever you desire within moments…  And even though you need to find and extract the card, all it takes is your thumb.

The new device by MADISON and O’HARE comes with a few revolutionary improvements that once again prove the genius of Eoin O’hare’s mechanical and precision engineering.  This device acts as a holster for the deck, replacing the original torn tuck box.  The deck is secured inside the black flexible device, by the design and the new features, which on first inspection appear to be simple steel bars that also hold the device together, however, these two simple bars allow for the smoothest of extrications by becoming pivot-points for the desired cards…

As the performer secretly navigates the device with nothing more than his thumb, upon locating the desired card, he pivots it sideways where the bars allow the card to pivot up and out of the device.  This means that the performer can leave the desired card in a twisted position - locked in by the bars - then come back for it for an easier extraction.

The original concept sees all of the Hearts up-jogged from the deck thus becoming the index dividers, so the performer counts the Hearts, then finds the other suits next to the hears.  Now the real genius of the new device is realised when you learn that you can now also side-jog the Clubs.  Now, a perfect one-for-one weave is made of the deck - the Hearts up, the Clubs sideways, and when inserted into the device this way, every single card is separated, so that the performer can now either count the Hearts, or the Clubs - the Diamonds directly next to the Hearts, the Spades directly next to the Clubs, making for the easiest and fastest extraction of ANY and every card in the deck…  And those bars along with the design of the device itself prevent any of the cards from falling out of place - and the device is only 1cm longer than a deck of cards!
