SUBSTANCE is an especially formulated Rubber Coating - first mentioned in The MAD SYSTEM MASTERCLASS - designed to cause ANY selected card to instantly vanish from the deck, with zero sleight-of-hand.

SUBSTANCE is applied to the back of the KING of DIAMONDS ( or any key card in the deck. )  Whichever playing card is placed behind the KD will grip to the SUBSTANCE and stay in place.  The rubber is powerful enough so that the card cannot slip out of place and does not need any pressure.  On the performers command the grip will loosen and the cards will separate.

SUBSTANCE is like a super version of VILLAIN ( SUPERVILLAIN! ) with no chance of the cards slipping from the rubber grip.  It has been carefully designed so that it is NOT sticky, so that participants can handle the Villain card without feeling the Substance.  The Substance cannot be transfered to other cards or your skin nor can it be seen when applied correctly to the cards.
