A Marked deck of cards is a deck that has secret markings on the back of every card which reveal each cards identity.  The markings are typically hidden in the intricate artwork on the back of the card, invisible and imperceptible to the naked eye of the unknowing opponent, yet clearly visible to the ‘Reader’ ( one who works with a marked deck. )

Markings vary so much from deck to deck yet they are typically minute and coded, meaning that even if an opponent were to see the markings, they would not understand what they mean.  The markings can be made in many different ways, sometimes the ink of the card is removed, and sometimes ink is added to alter the back design.
