Over the last two years, Madison Cards has undergone an extraordinary transformation.
What began as an effort to stabilise and rebuild a beloved brand evolved into one of the most ambitious periods in Daniel Madison’s career — expanding from a creator-led store into a destination for card lovers around the world, spanning sleight of hand, poker, blackjack, card magic, collectors’ decks, tutorials, accessories, custom projects, and community-driven collaborations.
As this chapter comes to a close, Team Madison — led operationally by Craig Frost — will no longer manage the Madison Cards website and its day-to-day activities, with Daniel Madison now choosing to move forward independently as he retakes the reins of the brand and begins its next phase.
This transition marks the end of the Team Madison era — a collective effort formed in 2024 during one of the most challenging periods in Daniel Madison’s career. At a time when significant production delays, unfulfilled orders, and operational difficulties threatened the future of the brand, Team Madison stepped in to help restore momentum, invest in production, rebuild infrastructure, and deliver thousands of decks and products back into the hands of supporters around the world.
While no rebuilding effort is ever perfect, the achievement was significant. Over the last two years, Madison Cards evolved into a far broader and more accessible platform than ever before.
Craig Frost first became involved with Madison Cards in 2024 as an investor and consultant, bringing with him a strong background in retail, operations, customer experience, and online revenue growth. What followed became a unique collaboration between Daniel Madison’s creative vision and Craig’s commercial and operational approach — helping reshape Madison Cards through improved production pricing, expanded supplier relationships, faster fulfilment systems, broader product ranges, improved international shipping options, and pricing initiatives designed to put more cards into more hands.
The range of products expanded dramatically, bringing together original Madison designs alongside collaborations with respected names and companies across the world of cards and sleight of hand, including Cartamundi, Copag, USPCC, Eoin O’Hare of The Perfect Shuffle, Justin Valdez, House of Tables, Houston Curtis, and many others.
The Madison Cards catalogue grew to include new deck designs, tutorials, accessories, customised sleight decks, poker equipment, collectors’ items, close-up performance tools, and community-driven projects such as the MADvice deck, custom court card initiatives, and the forthcoming Gallery deck. The Madison Foundation was also introduced to help independent artists and creators bring their own playing card concepts to life.
The online learning experience expanded considerably during this period. The Sleight Club membership evolved into a more accessible platform with substantially reduced pricing, the introduction of monthly member deck rewards, and the launch of The Madison Library — providing members with streaming access to Daniel Madison’s tutorial archive and downloadable ebooks. Alongside this came the release of more than 20 MAD Methods and a substantial collection of new educational content for magicians, card handlers, gamblers, and enthusiasts alike.
Operational improvements included the introduction of Royal Mail 48-hour services, next-day dispatch on the majority of in-stock products, FedEx delivery-duty-paid shipping options to reduce customs complications for international customers, flexible Pay in 3 payment solutions, and membership initiatives designed to make premium products and exclusive releases more accessible to the wider community.
The introduction of MADvocates also helped foster a stronger sense of community around Madison Cards than ever before — something that has always been central to Daniel Madison’s audience.
Most importantly, Team Madison helped transform Madison Cards into more than a storefront. It became a home for people who love cards — whether for magic, gambling demonstrations, poker, collecting, sleight of hand, artistry, or simply the enjoyment of handling a deck of playing cards.
As this chapter closes, there is genuine gratitude to the customers, supporters, collaborators, artists, creators, and community members who helped shape the last two years and supported the journey along the way.
As Daniel Madison now moves forward independently, Craig also looks ahead to new opportunities and collaborations, carrying forward the experience, relationships, and lessons built throughout the Team Madison chapter.
The friendships, creativity, support, and momentum generated during this period will remain an important part of Madison Cards’ story.
To everyone who supported the journey: thank you.
